How to Take Care of Oily Skin - Lifestyle and Beauty Fashion

How to Take Care of Oily Skin

How to Take Care of Oily Skin
How to take care of oily skin. A step by step guide on how you can eat right so that you don't have oily skin and what you can do to take care so that the oily skin becomes into a flawless smooth skin. So first thing is the diet. Now the diet for oily skin has to have those foods which not only cleanse your lever but also actually reduce the amount of excess which is being thrown up by the sebaceous glands. First thing is lever health. So for lever health you should take Triphala which is about a teaspoon of triphala put it in lukewarm water and drink that every night for a period of about three months. That will help your lever to detoxify.

2. Avoid dairy products. I know a lot of people must be wondering that if we are going to avoid dairy products isn't it good for skin? Yes and no because natural dairy products are good for skin but dairy products which are not organic, which have been created because of oxytocin injections are not good for skin. There are lots of hormones in them. So either go for organic dairy products or simply avoid them.

Third thing which is very good for skin is actually coconut water and coconut based products. Now why coconut water? Because coconut water has electrolytes which your skin needs and coconut milk is very good for skin. And especially oily skin cannot use too much of oily moisturizers it needs something which is very nice less oily and the same time gives it the hydration that the skin needs. So start drinking coconut water and start using coconut milk instead of oil or instead of refined oils. Now refined oils are particularly bad for skin. Why? Because they have a lot of chemical processing. So when an oil is made a lot of chemical processing that goes on into creating that oil and that is why it is toxic for the skin. So switch to natural ways of cooking which could be say white butter or coconut milk and avoid refined oils. Third thing which really helps the skin is wheat bran. Why wheat bran? Because wheat bran actually is a detoxifier. So you can use wheat bran, you can also use little bit of gugle. Now Gugle is another Ayurvedic product which helps the body let go of all the chemicals and the toxins which are accumulating in your body. So a tablet of gugle and a teaspoon of wheat bran taken with lukewarm water at night is great for your skin. Another thing which is great for oily skin is actually having Aloe Vera, and Awala, and wheat grass juice all mixed together with little bit of lauki which is bottle guard. So what you do is you take bottle guard which is lauki and juice it along with one or two table spoons of aloe vera one table spoon of what grass and one tea spoon on awanla juice. And put it together and drink it everyday and you see slowly your skin becoming lighter and less oily. Now as far as the facial... face treatment is concerned firstly avoid all harsh wash products, or face wash products or soaps because they actually make the acne worse. So what you do is wash your face with a mixture of say you can use papaya, you can use little bit of moong dal powder, you can use some of the uptans which are available in the market. Ayurvedic uptans because they are very good. Sandlewood uptan is very good. Also try to apply aloe vera gel twice a day. Once is of course before going to bed and once is after coming back from the office or work whatever. Because aloe vera gel also detoxifies the skin and takes away the excess oil and bacterial and all the other chemical agents. You should also use a face mask which is made out of little bit of papaya and banana and avocado oil. Why avocado? because avocado oil is not very oily oil. It is something which gets absorbed very easily into the skin. It doesn't harm the skin. So little bit of avocado, just few drops of oil into this face mask will make it like a very healthy mask for your skin. You can also do a papaya scrub. You can use sweet lime which is mausami and take little bit of juice put it in the cotton and add to the papaya mask clean your face with that mask. Rose water is excellent. In fact you can use a lot of rose water for your skin because rose water is something which actually makes skin very fresh and also works as a balm for the skin. So rose water is another thing which you can use in the mask. Now oily skin also typically gets oily because we are constantly in the sun and the skin is breaking out. So protect your skin from the sun because if it is too much in the sun your skin will break out into acne. For some time if you can I mean if you can you should avoid non vegetarian food because according to ancient Ayurveda non vegetarian food is not good for oily skin and typically things like fish, like egg. Especially if fish is eaten in excess amount can rather than being good for skin which is in small amount becomes bad for the skin in high amounts. So... and of course red meat. What is also important is avoid trans fats. Trans fats are not only bad for your heart but they are also terrible for your skin. So avoid trans fats. Trans fats are typically found in all the ready to eat products in chips and in cookies in biscuits which are available off the shelf. So if you really have to have them have a just cream based or white butter based products. And of course it is very important to make sure your hormonal cycles are in control and if they are not then definitely you should meed up with a gynaecologist. Because if the hormonal cycles are out of control frequently the first thing you see is your skin break out. So that's very important. So take care of all these things and I am sure that you will be able to get rid of the oily skin and you have a fresh glowing skin...

Healthy Skin Tips For Better Glowing Skin - Lifestyle and beauty Fashion

Healthy Skin Tips for Better Skin

Healthy Skin Tips For Better Skin
How it impacts your skin and if you're new around here just wanted to mention that a lot of the tips I do provide are backed by science and you can find everything - all the links... all the references in the description. The first tip is to reduce stress. So when you're stressed you're producing a lot more of this hormone known as cortisol which is also called the stress hormone and we produce normal amounts of it but when we're stressed we produce a lot more of it and cortisol can cause inflammation and it can also increase the amount of oil your oil glands are producing and that can lead to breakouts. So it is a good idea to reduce your stress. So what can you do? Now you can't eliminate stress completely - that would mean you need to stop living! Stress is a normal part of life ..it's going to be there but we can change the way we react to stress and how we manage our stress on a day-to-day basis. Personally for me the biggest game-changer is meditation.  I think I want to do it later on in October.. so stay tuned for that one.

2. Exercise more often. Now exercise and not something all of us love I don't love exercise either but you know what there are so many benefits and they're also skin benefits too. So remember how I talked about cortisol and how it impacts your skin in tip 1? So exercise can help reduce your cortisol and by reducing your cortisol it can help you reduce the chances of breakouts and reduce any skin issues related to stress. Not only that ..when you're exercising you're boosting your blood circulation.. your blood flow and that can help your skin cells to get more oxygen and more nutrients I would suggest starting really small. Don't feel like you have to exercise every single day if that's not something that fits into your lifestyle. Try to do small steps to make it a habit and then you can start to increase it.

3. to protect your skin from the sun. This one that's a really big one and this have to be honest it's not something that I took seriously until I did my research for this article I always thought that because I don't go out in the Sun that much because I am not pale I don't have to worry so much about sunscreen unless it's a really hot day and the entire day outside that's not true sun damage can happen on a cloudy day sun damage can happen when you're sitting indoors next to a window sun damage can happen even if you have dark skin no one is immune from sun damage and i really regret the fact that i didn't wear a sunscreen that often before and but you know what until you see how bad sun damage is you're probably not going to get it so I'm going to show you an image this image is from the New England Journal of Medicine and I'm going to link the study that this image came from and it's a man who did not wear sunscreen and for 28 years he was a truck driver and one side of his face has severe severe sun damage and the other side which was not next to the window of the truck doesn't have the same amount of damage so it kind of shows you that the Sun can have an impact but it takes years for you to actually see it so if you're young I thought I was young you may not see that skin damage so I haven't really seen too much skin damage but you know what it's there I had to have minor minor spots on my skin and I'm pretty sure it's from the Sun so I'm going to protect myself going forward 35 it's not too late it's never too late to protect yourself so what can you do to protect yourself in the Sun wear a sunscreen every single day whenever you're exposed to the Sun even if you're indoors next to a window even if it's cloudy it is important to wear sunscreen now selecting a sunscreen is not exactly an easy task there are a few things to consider so I'm going to put more information in the description so you can read it there I wanted to point out this is something I found during my research that makeup or you know 10 moisturizers that have some SPF probably not enough sun protection because in order for you to protect yourself from the Sun you need to have a certain amount of sunscreen and typically no one's wearing that much foundation and that must tinted moisturizer it's just not enough so it is a good idea to actually wear a sunscreen the other thing I would suggest is to avoid and limits on exposure when the Sun is the strongest so there is something called the UV index you can read more about it in the description and when the UV index is high that means the sun's rays are more likely to cause skin damage so it's usually between the hours of 11:00 and 3:00 that the Sun is the worst in terms of skin damage so I do try to stay out of the Sun even if I'm wearing sunscreen during those hours so I try to go for my morning walks really early when the UV index is low or you know you can go really late when the sun's a little bit down so it really is about protecting yourself on a regular basis so you don't end up with skin damage when you're in your 40s 15 16 so it is important to start early.

4. to limit exposure to bacteria that could potentially cause breakouts so for me personally it's the phone it's the pillowcases these things if I'm not keeping them clean I do end up with minor breakouts around the chin so let's tackle the phone first so what is it about the phone that can cause breakouts when we're talking on the phone and you're resting that phone right next to a cheek it can cause a little bit of that pressure friction and heat and all that combined can lead to something known as acne and meccanica I do have more information in the description on that so I avoid putting the phone right next to my cheek I keep it at a little bit of a distance Minh and talking on it now the other thing for me is pillowcases if my pillowcases are not clean I will end up with minor breakouts and minor irritation if you're interested in learning what dermatologists have to say about the phone and pillowcases and how it can kind of lead to skin or irritation I do have some more information in the description the next tip is to get enough sleep if you're not getting enough sleep that can lead to premature aging and all in some cases breakouts I do find if I'm not sleeping enough I end up getting more breakouts than I would if I had enough sleep so how exactly does a lack of sleep cause skin issues well when we're not getting enough sleep let's say one night we're not getting enough sleep the next night the next evening or cortisol levels are going to be higher than they should be and again we've talked about cortisol before and how it leads to inflammation and irritation and that sort of thing so it is important to get enough sleep if you're interested in learning more about how to get better sleep tips to sleep better next up use a humidifier if your air is dry now this tip does not apply to someone living in the tropics because the ear is never dry but it does apply to someone living in the country like Canada because half the year this air is quite dry and that can lead to skin that's a little irritated a little dry and it is important to use a humidifier if you have any issues like eczema rosacea skin sensitivity and not only that if you want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles it is a good idea to use a humidifier it's actually a study that shows that a humidifier reduce the appearance of wrinkles so I'll put that...

Top 9 Benefits of Exercise Regularly - Lifestyle and Beauty Fashion

Top 9 Benefits of Exercise Regularly

Top 9 Benefits of Exercise Regularly
We all know that exercise is important to maintain a healthy weight. Well, Now when it comes to exercise all about taking care of yourself and it's about your long-term health. Your exercise today is going to pay off in the future when you're older, so just do it. The first benefit of exercise is healthier skin. I just wanted to say that regular exercise can make such a big difference to your skin and I noticed that I was working out a lot more in the summer because you're just more active in the summer it's nicer weather and my skin was better. So why exactly is that that exercise helps with skin? There are a few reasons.

1 - One is better circulation when you work out you're getting better circulation and better blood flow and as a result of that your skin is healthier. It is getting more of the nutrients from your blood the other thing is something called oxidative stress. You don't need to know the details. You can find out more in the description if you want but basically oxidative stress is a type of stress that your body experiences and it can cause something like skin wrinkling and aging. Regular moderate exercise can reduce this type of stress on your body and it can help your body boost its natural antioxidants and as a result of that your skin looks younger for longer.

2 - The second benefit is improved memory and brain health. When you exercise, your heart rate increases and as a result of that there is better blood flow to the brain and this better blood flow means that there's more oxygen to the brain which definitely has an impact on brain health. When it comes to memory, exercise also makes a difference. So there's a part of the brain known as the hippocampus and this part of the brain is associated with memory and learning and exercise happens to increase the size of this part of the brain. So it definitely is something that is worthwhile. Something that you should be doing. If you have any concerns related to brain health and memory, make exercise a priority and it doesn't need to be complicated. A lot of people think that they have to go to the gym to get these benefits of exercise. Not really. In a lot of the studies that I looked at simple exercise... that's like brisk walking (not a stroll in the park but brisk walking) had quite a big impact on brain health. So keep it simple if that's what works for you. You need to find exercise that you enjoy because if you don't enjoy it, you're not going to do it but exercise definitely is important for brain health.

3 - increased energy levels. Now I do find this to be true when I'm working out diligently I have a lot more energy and I noticed that I can get a lot more done in my day and I'm a lot more productive than when I'm not working out. So definitely is something that has worked for me but what does the science say? There have been several studies on exercise and fatigue and there definitely is a link. Exercise can help reduce fatigue. I will link some of the studies in the description so you can read more there. Now while we're on the topic of energy levels and exercise I should point out that there is a fine line between exercising enough and over exercise and if you are venturing into over exercise it can cause a lot of tiredness and a lot of fatigue. So you need to recognize when you're over exercising. That is easier said than done but if you do find that your workouts are not helping you... your energy levels are really really low, cut back and go talk to a doctor to get a second opinion. It really is important not to overexercise. I will put more information on over-exercise in the description.

4 - Lowered stress. Stress is an inevitable part of life - you can't escape it but you can manage it and exercise is one way to help manage your stress. Exercise basically helps your body deal with stresses a lot better - it makes your body stronger and not immune but just generally better at dealing with stress. Bear in mind that when you're exercising you need to exercise within your limits and not over exercise because over exercise causes a lot of stress. A good amount of exercise teaches your body how to deal with stress.

5 - increased happiness and better mood. Exercise increases our production of endorphins. You may have heard about endorphins. What are they? They're basically chemicals that your body produces that can help you feel good and reduce pain. So if you want to increase the endorphins in your body.. a good way to do it is through exercise. Exercise also helps with better mood ,anxiety and depression and I do find this to be the case. If I'm not in the best mood and if I go for a long brisk walk I do feel a lot better. Part of it is just getting outdoors and the other thing is actually getting the exercise.

6 - Lowered risk of heart disease. Okay, so we're going to get a little bit more serious for the next two benefits. So heart disease is the leading cause of death in both men and women across the globe. It's actually how my mother passed away at the age of 51. There is one thing that you can do to reduce your risk and that is moderate exercise on a regular basis. There is actually a study that showed that people who had higher levels of activity reduced their heart disease risk by over 20%. My suggestion to you if you have heart disease in the family (the way I do) definitely make exercise a priority because it is something that you could do very easily to reduce your risk and you don't have to do anything elaborate. Even something as simple as brisk walking or swimming can do. Now before you start any exercise regimen it is always a good idea to talk to doctor just in case there any contradictions. Just make sure you're doing it safely.

7 - Reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes. Now since we've talked about heart disease, I wanted to talk about diabetes as well because it's something does affect my family. I have a family history of diabetes on both sides...both my mother's side and my father's side. And in North America there are 100 million people who are diabetic or pre-diabetic. That is a big number and a lot of people who have pre-diabetes don't even know that they have it. You guessed it - exercise! It's obviously not the only thing but it is definitely an important thing. A 2016 study found that 150 minutes of moderate exercise reduced the risk of diabetes by 26% - that's actually a substantial decrease in the risk just from five days of working out 30 minutes every day. It's something that's definitely doable and if you work out even more you can get some more health benefits depending on how you do your workout. Now what is moderate exercise? That's the confusing part, so I have a lot more information in the description but I wanted to talk about just a few activities to give you an idea. Something like brisk walking where you're raising your heart rate to a moderate level can be moderate exercise. Swimming as well. If you enjoy swimming is moderate exercise.. it could be vigorous if you're doing a lot of laps but if you're just doing swimming at a regular pace it can be moderate exercise and tennis.. playing tennis, playing sports of certain types can be moderate. So it is something that you can incorporate into your life without even going to the gym if going to the gym is not your thing.

8 - Better bone health. Now you might be thinking bone health? Well I'm young... I don't need to worry about bone health. No. Here's the thing with bone health. When you're 35, you start to lose a lot more bone mass than you rebuild so your bone health is in decline after 35 so you really should consider starting to take care of your bones early on and even if you're 35 , 45 doesn't matter. It's never too late to start taking care of your bones and one way to do this is through weight-bearing exercise. I suggest finding something that you enjoy that can actually help with your bone health.

9 - Exercise can help with better sleep. Now I personally find that when I exercise a lot more like I was exercising in the summer, I had a lot better sleep. Now that it's the winter, I'm not working out as much. I do notice that there is... the sleep quality is not the same .So I do suggest working out more often if you want to sleep better and there are studies that show that there's a link between sleep quality and exercise. I will put them in the description so you can read more. So that sums up the benefits of exercise. I hope that at least some of these will motivate you to make exercise a priority in 2019 and really make it something that is a lifelong habit. I struggle personally too - it's not like I am perfect in this exercise department. I'm struggling but I'm learning and I'm pushing myself and I think that's what's important. I think the first step to making any change is knowing why you're doing it...

How to Get Rid of Teenage Acne Pimples - Lifestyle and Beauty Fashion

How to Get Rid of Teen Age Acne Pimples

How to Get Rid of Teenage Acne Pimples
Have you tried many different methods to get rid of them? different acne treatments. Teenage acne or pimples generally occurs because of the hormonal fluctuations during puberty, that is between the ages of 13-19. Mostly these pimples form on the skin and do not last for long, and disappear with the time. However, in some people, they become severe and chronic. The pimples or acne may increase and become chronic due to a variety of reasons such as genetics, unhealthy lifestyle, fast food, improper skin care, illnesses like PCOD or even as a side effect of certain medications. It is necessary for you to consult a dermatologist for chronic acne. Your dermatologist may prescribe some oral or topical medicine or may even recommend some medical procedures. So let’s take a look at the medicines or treatments a doctor may prescribe to you. The main role of acne medication is reduce the sebum secretion from the oil producing sebaceous glands, they also help to control propionibacterium or acne-causing bacteria. Usually these medicines prevent the formation of acne scars or pigmentation to some extent. The effects of these medicines are seen in 4-8 weeks and in 4 to 6 months the results are very visible and quite satisfactory. Your skin begins to improve as well. These medicines remove the impurities , keratinization defects and impurities from the skin. Your skin specialist will suggest treatments based on the assessment of your age, acne type, skin type and cause of acne. There are many different approaches to acne treatments. You should not ignore your acne when it increases, becomes painful, and becomes reddish and gets filled with pus. You should definitely get these medically treated. Using home or natural remedies may reduce the appearance of the pimples to some extent. As we discussed earlier, your doctor may prescribe oral, topical and hormonal correction medicines or even suggest some skin procedures. Most doctors prescribe topical creams for acne, such as retinoids, creams, gels or benzoyl peroxide. In severe cases, the doctor may also prescribe oral antibiotics along with topical ointments. Antibiotics help to reduce the redness, pain and excessive bacteria of pustular acne. A common combination treatment is retinoids and antibiotics. Topical antibiotics may be applied in the mornings and the retinoids in the evening.

Another common combination is benzoyl peroxide and antibiotics. Your doctor could also prescribe products containing salicylic acid and azelaic acid, which have anti-bacterial properties. Antibiotics are also available in oral forms. If you have moderate to severe pustular acne , your doctor may prescribe oral antibiotics to reduce the bacteria and fight the inflammation. Oral antibiotics should be used for short durations as these are really strong. If used haphazardly, the acne causing bacteria may become immune and develop resistance to the oral antibiotics. You should tell your doctor if you have any allergies or illnesses caused by antibiotics so that they can prescribe the correct medicine to you. Some females also have hormonal acne, which can be reduced by certain specific oral contraceptive pills and aldactone. Contraceptive pills have a combination of estrogen and progesterone. It can take a few months to control acne. Another thing is that there are some forms of acne which are not affected by the usual antiacne medicines. For such severe acne, the dermatologists may prescribe powerful oral medicines like anti-androgen agents and oral isoretinoin. Both these medicines are very strong and must be consumed only if prescribed by your doctor and under their observation. Taking these medicines without consulting a dermatologist may lead to side effects and negatively impact your health. If you suffer from severe acne and want to get it treated as fast as possible, I can also suggest some safe and advanced scientific treatments. The first is laser treatment for acne and the second is light or photodynamic treatment for acne. In the first, your facial skin or acne lesions are exposed to blue light or low level laser light which reduces the bacteria in the acne. Intense pulsed light or heat energy reduces the redness or swelling caused by pimples. This also aids in reducing the size of the sebaceous glands to some extent. Another commonly used medical procedure is chemical peels. During this procedure, a mild chemical solution is applied to your face which helps to unclog pores, clears dead skin cells and stimulates new skin growth which helps improve the skin’s appearance and reduces clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads and acne. However, to prevent your skin from getting burns or pigmented, this treatment must be carried out under the supervision of an expert dermatologist. For nodulocystic acne is often treated by injecting steroidal drugs. Because this procedure may have side effects, it cannot be used to treat widespread acne and should not be used repeatedly. All these treatments will reduce acne and may prevent scarring as well. All these treatments have to be carried out at the dermatologist clinic. These treatments cleanse the skin, regulate sebaceous gland activity, remove dead skin cells, and reduce the appearance of scars. They help to even out the skin tone and rejuvenate the skin. The treatments help to reduce the skin inflammation and prevent the darkening or permanent scarring of the skin. It is also important to implement some changes to improve your lifestyle . You have to wash your face twice a day and apply a good moisturiser and sunscreen on your face as well. Avoid using too much make-up or too many cosmetic products on your skin as this clogs the pores and causes acne. If you have to use make-up, use non-comedogenic or water based compounds. Always try on the product and if it does not cause acne you can apply a light coat of make-up. However, you must remember to wash off your make-up before going to bed. You should avoid junk food, oily food, fast food, preserved food, ice cream, dairy or milk products, chocolates or very sweet food. It is also important to exercise as this helps to improve your overall health which in turn helps your skin to become healthy. The medicines and treatments will be much more effective if you try and improve your diet, lifestyle and skin care routine. I hope that you found this article informative and found the answers to your teenage acne treatment doubts. How to Get Rid of Acne Scars - Lifestyle and Beauty Fashion

How to Get Rid of Acne Scars

How to Get Rid of Acne Scars
Do you want to get them treated and reduce their appearance? Treatments will be most effective if you have macular acne scars, pigmented scars or mild atrophic scars. The dermatologist will first assess your skin photographically, in special lighting and a physical examination. After assessing, they will make a treatment plan that will treat your scars and give you satisfactory results. The dermatologist may recommend either laser or non-laser treatments. Mild scars are not too severe and they may reduce to a large extent with simple treatment and in some cases, they may even fade completely. Mild scarring is not even visible at a social distance of 50 centimeters. Macular scars are a type of mild scar. In these scars, the skin colour may change but there generally isn’t a lot of scarring, atrophic change or pitting on the skin. Lasers can be used to treat acne scars but there are some non-laser procedures as well that are used in combination for best results. Let’s first discuss non-laser treatments. Chemical peels and TCA Cross can be used to treat mild scarring. Traditional skin specialists use microderabrasion or dermaroller. Nowadays, there is a procedure called dermapin which is replacing dermaroller as it is safer and more effective than dermaroller. Except for chemical peels and TCA cross, all the procedures can be combined with PRP. This gives better results. Let’s talk about these procedures in detail. The first treatment modality is chemical peels. Chemical peel is a useful treatment for erythematous scars, hyperpigmented macular scars, atrophic mild superficial scars, and grade I and II scars. Chemical peels exfoliate the epidermis or the skin’s superficial layer, removes the dead skin cell layers and stimulates collagen formation and skin rejuvenation. The peels improve the depth and contour of the scar, and soften them. They improve the overall texture, tone, and appearance of the skin. The peels use alpha hydroxy acid, beta hydroxy acid like salicylic acid, mandelic acid, azelaic acid and mainly glycolic acid. Chemical peels is safe for hyperpigmented scars and darker skin types as well. After a chemical peel procedure, the superficial dead, thick skin cells gets exfoliated and the thin layer peels off and the skin starts getting rejuvenated. New delicate skin is generated which is sensitive to ultraviolet rays. That is why proper skincare and strict photo protection like broad-spectrum sunscreen, using a physical sunscreen is essential. This doesn’t mean that you can’t step out at all, with the correct protection you can go anywhere. This will also ensure that the results for the treatment last longer.

The next procedure is microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure. During this procedure, a simple machine abrades the epidermis of the skin. In this procedure, the dead and dull skin layers are mechanically removed with a special applicator that has an abrasive surface. This is a safe procedure that works for all skin types and colours and shows immediate results. You may experience mild tenderness, swelling and some redness after this procedure but this disappears in a while. There is no need to worry. This is an office hour procedure, this means you can go for a party with glowing skin immediately after getting this procedure done. It is very important to use moisturiser and sunscreen after the procedure. The next procedure is microneedling, which is commonly called dermaroller. In this procedure, a handheld roller device that has multiple medical grade microneedles attached to one side is used. The dermaroller is rolled on the scarred skin in a star shaped direction. This causes micro injuries on the superficial papillary dermis and skin surface. These micro injuries help in stimulating collagen and rejuvenating skin. Basically these micro injuries start the healing cascade of the skin. In this healing process, the skin generates fibroblasts, elastin fibers, collagen and capillaries. This helps I reducing the appearance of scars. The dermaroller can be an uncomfortable procedure. In fact, it can be difficult to carry out this procedure in small areas like near the nose and so on. That is why the dermaroller is being replaced by the dermapin as it is a more advanced, accurate, safer and effective technique. The dermapin also aids collagen induction and skin rejuvenation. The dermapin is more effective than the dermaroller. In comparison with the dermaroller, the dermapin causes minimal damage to the skin surface, and there is lesser pain and bleeding as well. In this procedure, skin punctures are made vertically over the scars. The needles don’t bend which makes it easy to use in small, contoured areas. This procedure is quite fast, easy, safe and most comfortable and least painful for the patient. The next is the TCA cross which is specially done for icepick scars. TCA cross is generally used for deep scars and icepick scars in combination with other treatments. But in some cases it may be used for mild scars as well. In this procedure, droplets of TCS or trichloroacetic acid are placed on the scars. This causes chemical cauterization, the height of the scars is reduced, and ice pick scars are filled to a large extent. A healing balm is applied on the skin after the procedure.

The skin heals in 4-6 days after the procedure and the scabs also come off. The frosting that happens after the procedure reduces in 3-4 hours. This procedure increases collagen production and reorganises the collagen in the dermis. This heals the scars and reduces their appearance. There may be a slight burning sensation after this procedure. In some cases, there may be temporary redness or chances of pigmentation. If this procedure is not carried out by a trained dermatologist, it may result in widened scars, and spoil the skin. So always get any procedure done only from a trained professional. This procedure is cost-effective, minimally invasive and the healing time is also quite quick. The last procedure is Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy or PRP. This treatment is carried out in combination with the above mentioned procedures. PRP is not done with chemical peels or TCA cross. But PRP can be done in combination with microdermabrasion, dermaroller and dermapin. So let’s understand PRP a little better. In this procedure your blood is drawn and the red blood cells are separated from the plasma. Your plasma, which is concentrated with platelets, is injected back into your skin or rubbed into the channels created by dermaroller or dermapin. This plasma is rich in various body growth factors and proteins which stimulates the production of collagen in the skin and dermis. This reduces the appearance of acne scars. Because your own blood is used in this procedure, this procedure is safe and does not have any side effects. If your scars are mild, treat them immediately or at the earliest. Your treatment modality will be decided based on your skin type, acne scar type, and existing acne and on your expectations. The same treatments are not effective on all acne scar patients. In fact, the same treatments don’t give the same results in any two people because every individual has mixed scars. These mixed scars have different intensities, depths and different types and scar combinations. Each individuals skin may have a different response to each of the procedures. That is why the treatments are done in combination. The treatment for mild scars usually takes 3-6 months and treatments for patients with severe scars may take a year or year and a half. That is why you should be patient and give time to the treatment. Unfortunately, acne scars are permanent. Acne can be treated, can completely go, but scars caused by inflammatory acne will become permanent if not treated on time. That is why you should treat acne on time and if you get scars you should treat those also on time...
