13 Amazing Facts About How to Maintain Good Posture

how to maintain good posture
Hello… today's topic is quite unique and it's actually quite close to my heart I'm actually surprised as taking me this long to get to it so this obviously will not apply to everyone but as I was growing up I remember wearing this back brace called baby I can actually believe I actually remember this and it was pink as well and it aligned your spine and your shoulders back so you don't have a hunchback having a bad posture causes you know scoliosis it can cause in a hunchback it can give you you know painful neck back and also sometimes cause blindness and that was like a really big issue especially in China because a lot of the the kids were studying long periods of time and they were in like a really bad posture so today I thought I want to share with you some of the I guess important things about having good posture and what causes these problems and what you should be doing to prevent it but at the same time also treat it so first let's talk about their health problems that having a bad posture can cause

1.chronic pains that includes your neck pains back pains you know lower back pain sometimes even hand cramps and headaches and things like that

2. is muscle weakness and that happens when you use certain parts of your muscles more than so the others and therefore it becomes weak and fragile

3. is difficulty in breathing a lot of times when you have a bad posture and your alignment is not correct it can cause stress on your lungs and also your respirator system and therefore you have problem breathing and catching your breath at times

4. is digestive issues a lot of times when you don't have a straight back and you have a bad posture it can cause a lot of the areas especially in the abdominal to crunch in and also you know be distort it in certain ways so a lot of times you might feel bloating you might have problem going to the bathroom and that's also caused by having a bad posture

5. is nerve compression and that has to do with a lot of times when you have certain places where your muscles are weakened and some muscles are used more so and therefore it might compress or a bone or something like that presses onto a nerve that you don't frequently use or maybe you do use a lot excessively and sometimes you feel numbness in those areas

6. it actually deepens depression so it doesn't cause depression but if you already have mild depression it can actually make a bit more severe and that I think at the same time has a lot to do with how you carry yourself and also how you look on the outside as well
7. is it increases a risk of having diseases sometimes it can damage certain organs it can decrease the flood the blood flow it can cause a lot of problems that eventually causes certain diseases in the body so it is very important to have great posture last but not least is actually makes you look bigger than you are so I don't know if you notice this but sometimes when you have a hunched you know posture or sometimes when your alignment is not correct it can make you look more bloated it can make you look bit more I guess chubbier than you are because of the way you hold yourself but once you straighten your back and once you've got your shoulders aligned you look taller you look more slimmer you actually look more I guess properly how you supposed to look standing up tall so sometimes you can even lose inches by having a bad posture so now let's talk about one of the common symptoms you might have when you actually have that posture because a lot of the times you don't even realize you had that posture so first up is obviously muscle cramps back pains neck pains another indication of having bad postures you might have a rounded shoulder you have a potbelly or if you know some people who have you know not not as a lined posture you notice that their head will lean more forward or the either the head will lead more back and sometimes you also experience headaches and things like that that all has to do with having the incorrect posture okay so this is the cricket question is how do you actually analyze your own posture and to do this you actually need a friend so go and grab a friend and a camera or maybe your phone and you can do this together so what you do is you need to wear fitted clothes so preferably black or you know something that's you know something that you wear to the gym or something like that so nice and fun nice and tight so you can actually see the outline of your body and then also you have to be barefoot okay so you're walking on preferably a timber floor or something with that small flats and I think not not too Kapiti and just a really sort of flat surface so what you do is you'll close your eyes and then you will slowly march on the spot and just just how you wouldn't walk normally and then stop and get your friend to take a photo of you front on side on and back and then you can actually see the alignment of your body then we had to do is you have to get a ruler and draw a line across the down from your head to your heel and then from your shoulders across and all the way from your stomach down and then you can actually analyze how your your body is aligned and just make sure that you're on the side you have this perfect point where each point supposed to meet the same way and once you

Actually more aware of how your posture is then can you know what to correct now let's talk about some of the Prevention's that you could do to prevent you from having bad posture

maintain good posture
1. is don't stand for too long so if you're in a work environment or if your job requires to stand for long periods of time try and make sure you take breaks in between and sit down for a little while just to rest your feet but also rest your body as well

2. is don't sit down for too long if you also add a workplace where you need to sit down all the time make sure you get up once in a while walk around the office or if you have to go to the bathroom go get a coffee just make sure you stand up and actually realign your body just a little bit

3. when talking on the phone and that is also have to do with part of your work don't put the phone next to ear or hold your phone with your shoulders try and use headphones or earphones anything that will make you sure that you don't have to strain your shoulders or your neck

4. is sleeping on a firm mattress and I know everyone loves the soft cushiony mattress but when you're sleeping on your back make sure it's nice and fab and when you're sleeping on the sides make sure you get the correct pillar

5. is getting economic furniture which includes chairs and things like that is supposed to support your back while sitting down and especially designed to hold you back in a certain way

6. is to have comfortable shoes and clothing I found that a lot of the time when you wear incorrect shoes it does hinder how your your weight sits on across which part of your body when I used to work at a store where I had to stand up I have a pair of shoes that's flat and also a pair of shoes high-heeled so I do a couple hours with high heels and a couple of hours and flats and that way it also helps your muscles relax and allow you to use all different types of muscles in your body last but not least is don't carry a lot of heavy items especially only on one shoulder so if your work requires you to lift heavy things and things like that make sure you're lifting in the correct way and if you are carry if you are someone like me who carries a lot of things in their bag make sure you use it on one shoulder and then switch over to the other so don't always use the same shoulder all the time so there are a couple of treatments that you can consider when you do have bad posture

* is frequent exercise because when you're exercising you're using all the muscles in your body and you're actually allowing your body to blood circulate and it releases tensions in the muscles and that way it's very important to make sure that you do exercise at least once a week

* is massage a lot of times this is why massage is categorize underneath a you know a therapeutic thing because massaging in searching the correct way can help get rid of the knots in your in your body so that you have that constant flow and that your muscles are getting all the nutrients that you can the blood flow the oxygen and all of that the next thing is stretches I actually personally think that stretches is very important and that's why a lot of the times before you exercise they will advise you to do stretches whether it is stretching out your legs your hamstrings your arms your neck your body or everything and make sure that you do it in a way that you're not over pushing yourself but you still get that nice thumb stretch the best stretches to do obviously is a runner's stretch and that helps to stretch out your hamstrings I like to do is warm up you know with some music and make sure your body blood flowing is first I like run on the same spot and then start to do like you know stretches that you would normally do that last but not least is when you have severe posture problems that's when you have to go see a professional so if you have someone who's suffered you know long term damage to say your lower back or your neck then you do need to go see someone professionally to help to heal those muscle groups and also help you get your posture back in the right alignment obviously I believe in prevention better and cures a lot of times what I would suggest is that if you are sitting down make sure that your least thirty centimetres away from the table so you're not you know your eyes are exactly stuck to your papers when you're writing things you're not looking like your face is not touching the table you can actually stand against a wall and just make sure that your back is touching the wall including your head and to stand there for at least 30 minutes a day that way a lesion can unlined your back and your back is straight one thing I find that as soon as you open up your chest and open up and actually lie on your back not only does it give you a better posture but you look slimmer look more confident and you will actually feel it you feel more open up and the way that you opened yourself up is kind of like accepting new things in your life and I feel like a lot of times your posture can reflect your personality and it can reflect your aura your energy levels it can reflect a lot of things that's why a posture is very very important and it has been a huge history of having good posture in royal families you know in royalty in particular there's a certain amount of manners and that's why people back in the Qin Dynasty wore those um there's crazy like shoes and their posture was immaculate otherwise you wouldn't be able to walk on their shoes and you fall off so that was it...
